Consequently, this entry could be regarded as fluff, and it is certainly not compulsory viewing since its predecessor already tells a satisfying and complete narrative. Horimiya: The Missing Pieces is somewhat of a special case since it is a side piece to the original show that adapts previously untouched stories from the manga. Summer 2023 is not lacking in follow-ups, with Jujutsu Kaisen, Mushoku Tensei, and Bleach all receiving highly-anticipated sequels that have, for the most part, lived up to the hype. Still, none of these series necessarily scream "slice of life," or at least not as loudly as some other shows. Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout The Animation is also a relaxing sit, although it is not quite as slow-paced as the games. The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses and My Tiny Senpai are safe picks, although they are primarily romantic comedies. Similar to its predecessor, the Summer 2023 anime season is somewhat lacking in obvious slice of life shows. Meanwhile, Tonikawa and Otaku Elf should have satisfied most people's cravings for fluffy, wholesome vibes. Skip and Loafer proved to be more of a drama than a pure slice of life, but it is still an easy recommendation for fans of the latter.
